Survival! Adventure!... Finding simplicity in nature and utilizing simplicity for a better life and better health. Follow me as I explore this amazing natural world we live in. I will take you to amazingly beautiful places, many of which few people know. I seek to unveil the ancient mysteries of health through a indigenous-based diet utilizing the many wild edible plants and simple animal products. I test my body's ability to endure long hike's in different climates and terrains, to sleep in unusual places, to eat what I find, to endure 1000 insect bites. This channel will grow as I continue to explore and seek answers.

Mobile Palm Panel for Shade and Rain - Will it work? (episode 3.8)
Sun and rain. I need both to survive but too much of either one will wreck my day. To gain some control of the power of the sun and rain I decided to build a primitive mobile panel that I can place where I want it to give me shade and protect outdoor items from the rain. Protect your feet while allowing them to be free with my favorite sandals: Luna Sandals are the original sandals that I've wo...
Stone & Tile Floor for my Primitive Hut (episode 3.7)
День тому
Dirt is NOT pleasant to sleep on. A primitive dirt floor is NOT nice in a hut. It took long enough but I finally got so bothered with the dirt floor that I went to work to put in a stone and tile floor. It's still totally primitive but it's so much better. I only wish I had done this sooner. Protect your feet while allowing them to be free with my favorite sandals: Luna Sandals are the original...
Dome Cover for Primitive Kiln - it kind of failed (episode 3.6)
This kiln will be used to fire pottery, make charcoal, and to make quick lime. Without a cover the heat freely escapes. To increase the temperature inside the kiln I was advised to make a cover for the kiln. By primitive means that's easier said than done. A removable kiln cover is rather large and has to be strong enough to withstand movement. It also has to be light enough to physically manag...
Primitive Food Storage under a Rock - will it survive until Winter? (episode 3.5)
In the primitive world acquiring food is difficult enough but protecting it from wild creatures and the elements it is also challenging. The natural world is the playing field of a fierce competition for the most important survival resource - food. In this video I explore one possible technique to keep this valuable commodity safe from the wilderness. When venturing into the wilderness keep you...
Discovering my Primitive Artifact 4 Years Later...and a rattlesnake
While exploring areas that have a history of native culture I am always looking for clues to their past existence. Often I find mortar holes which provide evidence that a site was used for the processing of wild food and often for gathering of wild foods too. In this video I revisit the site where I placed a clay pot with pumpkin seeds four years earlier to experience a little of what it may ha...
Friction Fire Challenge in Windy Desert Sand Dunes

Primitive Trick to Get Drinking Water in the Desert
Don't do what I do unless you are in a real survival situation or you are prepared to deal with potential consequences. I have consumed raw wild water in many places and only one time did I ever get a very mild case of diarrhea and that happened in a river that passed through several towns in Mexico. I have consumed water from springs and streams in deserts, mountains and coasts many times with...
R.I.P. my first Adobe Hut is in Ruins
In 2018 I finished building the first hut. I used it as a shelter for practicing primitive skills for more than three years. It endured a few more years after and proved to me the resilience of a primitive structure but then something happened. My social media links: Instagram @chadzuberofficial Facebook @ChadZAdventure
How to Get Lifesaving Water from an Agave Cactus
In the desert water is often the number one survival priority. If there is no river or spring then what can you do to get water? Cactuses retain large amounts of water inside of them but that water is often mixed with toxic compounds that can cause more harm than good if you consume them. But there is a way to get safe drinking water from certain species of cactus. In this video I'll show you h...
Solar Eclipse Friction Fire with Yucca Transport (4.08.2024)

Solar Eclipse is an excellent time to connect with nature during such an amazing natural phenomenon. Today, as the eclipse was maximizing, I produced an ember by friction fire using the hand drill method with a mule fat spindle on parry nolina stalk. A piece of a dry yucca leaf was used to catch the ember. Pounded palm fiber was used as the tinder bundle. After blowing the ember into flames I u...

When I'm lost & in need of water 💦 I'll pray you're around - because I'm good at plants. But the fire you made I would surely be able to imitate sometime in my next life ... 😅
Where did u got those bricks?
For the boleadora to work correctly, hold a ball with your left hand and with the other hand turn the rest from the central knot. When you release you must try to direct the central knot at the target and release both hands, you will see how the ropes unfold. and rotate about the central knot, covering more impact area.
tôi ở Việt nam chỗ tôi có suối nước núi đồi khác nơi bạn ở
First video i watched is he making a yucky cookie lol

Great work, as always! You could have saved a lot of cordage (and time) by splitting a small portion of the palm fronds apart (without ripping it off) and use that to tie the whole frond on the frame. For reference, check out Primitive Skills, a guy from Vietnam who routinely uses the technique to build roof covers. But that's all after the fact, of course.

Yes, thank you for helping the Butterfly.
This father is getting older, always healthy, father😊
Muito obrigada por mais esse ensinamento. Deus o abençoe e o proteja sempre. Brasília/Brasil
You work very hard. I admire your persistence and ideas. 😀🖖👍
QUEEEEE NO TIENE ROPA??
Great job on the butterfly rescue! I take bugs outside too. :)
Very good job👍 you could use this to fortify the roof during heavy rains
Primitive gym is nice idea 💡 You can also share with us about a gym
sunset cliffs at low tide, look out for OB chics they are dangerous.
Much respect for your skills in pottery, cordage, and weaving! You are at the next level.
What a smart dog 😂
The end of the video the sound of triller movie Uhuuuuuuuiiiiiiuuui uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuiuuuuuuuuuui
you're the first primitive dude on planet
Watching you go back and forth between the meat was like hearing my eyeglass doctor tell me "1 or 2, 1 or 2" "uhh 1 is clear but 2 is better"
maybe some kind of hat? I can't imagine the sun beating down on your neck to feel all that well
Gracias 🤠
dude why did you poke a hole in the bottom? the clay pot is porous and can filter the water without charcoal.

Try doing this in Ireland 😂😂😂😂😂😂
You could make a manual fan. Operate it with your toe through a rope loop. Making the mechanics for it, would be interesting.
There's a face in the rocks at the end of this video it looks very interesting to me
The spider sitting there on its string while he frees the Butterfly is like "wtf man, whats with MY survival? "
It is nice that you saved that butterfly but now the spider has lost a meal, he won that food fair and square.
Wow you are not looking that healthy leaving in the forest and eating junk food. Good work.
Clean shaven primitive man 😂
Greetings, Chad, I want to suggest that you improve your flint by adding a thread and a stick to it, so that there is a lever for rotating the base of the flint.
Wow the best ❤
Dude lives out in Boulevard with all the crackheads.
I was wondering how the hut walls are doing? It's been a while and I was interested in the effects of weathering . But that is a nice floor that should last a long time.
Birazda demir çağına geçsen
Don’t understand much about this, but enjoy watching your body in motion! 😅
I suggest you watch any of the many channels out of Asian countries. Many people use the palm leaves as roofing material. If you gather it when green it's more pliable and the leaves themselves can be used to attach onto a framing.
That's interesting. Getting green leaves here is a little more challenging because they don't actually grow here. I have to transport them.
You just take away the spider meal
Spider was lazy and absent.

MAN I'M SO GLAD YOU ARE STILL MAKING VIDEIS,BECAUSE I USED TO WATCH THEM WHEN I WAS IN HIGHSCHOOL...KEEP THE GREAT WORK AND HOPE TO SEE MORE,BECAUSE IT'S REALLY WONDERFUL THAT I REDISCOVERED THIS BEAUTY OF A CHANNEL,AS THE MAN THAT'S MAKING VIDEOS ON IT❤
Thank you and welcome back. I'm glad you're here.
@@ChadZuberAdventures Thanks, will watch often from now on and thank you too✌️😎
How do you edit this
Maybe try to plant some of the plants at your old location at your new location.
This butterfly is super lucky to be saved from the only person in this desert. I mean what are the odds :X
Very slim odds of someone else finding it and saving it.
14:32 - make a primitive skirt for a woman from fan palm leaves, that can be easy disassembeled 😏
I need to get a woman here first. Hahaha.
@@ChadZuberAdventures Hahaha. Maybe she is hiding somewhere in the bushes, waiting for you to drop your guard after a cup of fermented drink and then she will try to steal your weaved hammock... or you 😁
